Download Summary or Detailed Substance Results

On the Substances page, click the Download icon .

In the Download Substance Results window:

1. Select a file type:
   • Excel (.xlsx) > Result Summary or Result Details:
     • Result Summary: Includes CAS Registry Numbers, CA Index Name. Additional fields available: Canonical SMILES, Isometric Smiles, InChl, InChI Key
     • Result Details: Includes CAS Registry Number, CA Index Name, Canonical SMILES, Isomeric SMILES, InChI, InChI Key. Additional fields available: Experimental Properties, Predicted Properties, GHS Hazard Codes
       Notes:
       • If result check boxes are not selected, the first 100 substance results are included in the file.
       • If result check boxes are selected, the number of selected substance results is displayed up to 100, and only their information will be in the file.
   • PDF or RTF > You have the option to download Structures Only, Result Summary, or Result Details:
     • Structures Only: Available for All Results or Range, contains search task history and live links with just the structure image, name, and registry number for each result.
     • Result Summary: Contains search task history and live links to view results in CAS SciFinder.
       Notes:
       • If result check boxes are not selected, the first 500 substance results are included in the file.
       • If result check boxes are selected, the number of selected substance results is displayed up to 500, and only their information will be in the file. The ordinal/number assigned to a result may be different in the download.
     • Result Details: Select the desired boxes under Include to download additional details in addition to search task history and live links.

   • SDfile (.sdf): A Structure Data File (.sdf) file ( v2000 or v3000) is readable by some database programs.

2. Select Quantity of results:
   • All Results: First 500 for summary, first 100 for details
   • Selected Results: Up to 500 for summary, 100 for details
   • Range: Up to 500 for summary, 100 for details
3. (Optional) You may edit the auto-generated file name.
4. Click the Download button.
