Sort Substance Results

You may sort substances by relevance, CAS Registry Number (RN), molecular formula, molecular weight, number of references, or number of suppliers.

The sorts use the following keys (when two results are tied using the primary key, the secondary key is used and so on):

Relevance:

  • Descending Relevancy Score (primary key)

  • Descending Component Count (secondary key)

  • Descending Reference Count (tertiary key)

  • Descending CAS Registry Number (quaternary key)

CAS RN Ascending/Descending:

  • Ascending/Descending CAS Registry Number (primary key)

  • Descending Relevance Score (secondary key)

Molecular Formula Ascending/Descending:

  • Ascending/Descending Molecular Formula (Hill order - primary key)

  • Descending Relevance Score (secondary key)

Molecular Weight Ascending/Descending:

  • Ascending/Descending Molecular Weight (primary key)

  • Descending Relevance Score (secondary key)

Number of References Ascending/Descending:

  • Ascending/Descending Reference Count (primary key)

  • Ascending/Descending Relevance (secondary key)

  • Ascending/Descending CAS Registry Number (tertiary key)

Number of Suppliers:

  • Descending Supplier Count (primary key)

  • Descending Relevance (secondary key)

  • Descending CAS Registry Number (tertiary key)

Changing the sort order has no effect on previously employed filters and the sort order is saved with the query or bookmark if you save or share the sorted substance result set.
