Updates to Crossover Controls
The crossover control mechanism has been enhanced to be more descriptive and to differentiate from result tabs.
Claimed Substance Indicator
Substance indexing in CAS SciFinder has been enhanced with new claimed substance role indicators, allowing users to identify which substances indexed from a patent are claimed.
IPC Code Search
Users may now search references by International Patent Classification (IPC) code. The search will bring back the basic patents as well as patent family members that have a matching IPC code. Accepted formats include:
- Section+Class+Subclass: C07C
- Section+Class+Subclass+Group:
- C07C 317
- C07C 0317
- Section+Class+Subclass+Group+Subgroup
- C07C 0317/22
- C07C 317/22
- C07C0317-22
- All of the above can be with or without spaces
- The group may or may not include leading 0s for a total of 4 digits or no leading 0s, up to 3 digits
- The group and subgroup can be separated by “/” or “-”
