Filter Reaction Source References by Organization
This feature provides users a direct path to narrowing reaction result source references by organization. This allows users to easily identify who has published the reactions of interest, without having to cross over to references for refinement.
To view the Organization filter option, execute a reaction query and scroll to/expand the Source Reference section of the Filter by panel.
Group Reactions by Transformation
This highly requested feature provides users a new option to group reaction results for a streamlined review.
To group reactions by transformation, first execute a reaction query, and then select Group > By Transformation on the results page. For example, a reaction search for a product of vanillin shows the following transformation groups.
Clicking View Related Reactions opens a new result set containing only those reactions matching the desired transformation.
If the user downloads the reaction result set, the resulting file name indicates the results are grouped by transformation.
Uncategorized single-step reactions and multi-step reactions display at the end of the result list.
Note: The selected Group option is maintained with the next query, when saving the results, and/or when sharing the results.
Enable Fragments in R-groups in CAS Draw
Users can now craft complex search queries in CAS Draw by defining fragments within R-groups; in other words, by defining moieties. This allows searching for structures with defined permutations.
To perform a structure search with fragments defined in R-groups, draw a structure in CAS Draw including fragment moieties. Using the Fn shortcut, assign the fragments.
Then, add an attachment defining the R-group.
The results display hit highlighting to indicate query matching.
Downloaded results, including task history, display the R-group and assigned fragments.
Elevate Alerts
To elevate awareness of the important Alerts feature, the following updates now appear in the user interface.
Your Saved Items and Alerts are accessed through the top navigation bar.
Clicking the Alerts (bell) icon directs the user to the Alerts page; clicking the Saved (bookmark) icon directs the user to the Your Saved Items page.
Note: With the addition of the Saved (bookmark) icon in the top navigation bar, the Search History icon has been removed. Search history can be accessed through the Recent Search History section of the home page or via the CAS SciFindern menu on the Alerts and Your Saved Items pages.
Article Galaxy
This feature updates the Order Document link under Fee-Based Document Source to use Article Galaxy rather than FIZ AutoDoc.
A message is provided to users to alert them of the change. To see the message, perform a reference search and identify a result with Full Text options, and then select View all Sources.
Then, click Order Document below Fee-Based Document Source.
