Retain Search Query When Result Detail Is Viewed
This feature provides the ability to retain the current search query when a user navigates from a query-based result set to a detailed record of the same result type. The query is retained in the header of the result detail; this allows a user to modify the query and continue searching, if desired, without having to return to the result set.

Semantic Reference Text Wildcard Searching
This feature supports terminal and infix wildcard searching of the following semantic search fields:
- REGISTRY substance names
- CAplus Concepts
- MEDLINE Chemicals
- MEDLINE MeSH
- MEDLINE Supplementary Terms
The reference Search Within filter is also supported.
Exceptions
- Terminal wildcards must be proceeded by at least 3 characters.
- When a term has more than 1 wildcard, the term is searched literally. For example, if the user searches (R*,S*,R*,S*)-2,3,6,7-Tetrachlorooctane, this will be searched as a as a literal search term returning documents with (R*,S*,R*,S*)-2,3,6,7-Tetrachlorooctane as an indexed substance.
If a query contains 6 or more wildcard terms (? or *), the message "Your query cannot contain more than 5 valid wildcard search terms. Learn more about wildcard searching." and the search is performed literally.
Wildcard terms are only counted when it is a valid wildcard query. For example, the below query is considered a valid search query consisting of 4 wildcard search terms and 2 terms that will be searched literally.
wat* [R-(R*,S*)]-2-Amino-3-hydroxybutanoic acid car* ben?ene (S*,R*,S*) phosph*
